Freedom of Speech vs. Protection of the Public

Our Questions

Should the media have to shelter minors from overly explicit content in world events or is their awareness of their environment more important than their naïveté?

What is censorship?
Censorship in the media is the restriction of material that could be considered dangerous, explict, or offensive to the general public. Content is usually suppressed by an authority figure such as the government or parents. Censorship is used to protect the family, the church, and the state. It applies to media outlets such as movies, books, television, internet, music etc.
